To all those involved - this event will last 20mins, we will be asked to put best foot forward as we help Japanese club of Marshall put on a immersion program (this means everythings in Japanese) which we will not talk at all -we will start off, introduction from cordinator and then go into warm-ups and then into basics cordinator will tell people about what we are doing and then all will do kata so me, greg ,paulie and somebody else will have that honor of doing kata in front of teachers of WV ,k-12 ,this event is very important as we try to help paulie continue his kendo at new school, a chance to build another charter for the GNEKF SO I LOOK FORWARD TO THIS AS SHOULD YOU .
See you guys soon ;

Hello all;
I would first like to start out with saying that OSU has extented an offer to let us come be apart of their KENDO tournament ,this event is all college students and they trying to make this event a big thing so please contact me or greg sensei if you wish to go -this will be good exerience for Simms,Irish -as we will no longer treat you guys a newbies as you now have rank awarded to you and it is time to start living up to that title,This event will take place at OSU gym and we will drive up and back in one day it is on Saturday the 7th of June more info will be posted as soon as i get it.
Summer time practice will again be only on Tuesdays from here on out till fall session starts -we encourage you guys with Bogu to show up or bring Bogu back as we need it for other students that might have a serious interest in Kendo.Tuesday practice will be a 7pm-9pm and if anybody wants extra practice please again let us know.
We -Those of us whom have practied Kendo for at least 2yrs’ have found out that some of you have been having practice sessions of your own -please don’t do this as it promotes very bad habbits with each other and there is NO sensei there to correct these mistakes you can’t improve if you are practicing with people you are same rank as you -also if you are given handouts and DVD’S ,these to are learning tools not replacement for any of us practicing with you -watching and practicing is actully a learning tool of Kendo and a learning tool in it’s self ,but that is if the people you are watching and practicing with again are higher ranked and have at least a 3rd dan and above as ,ALL JAPAN KENDO FEDERATION states in manule so please do not have unautherized practices with yourselves and friends in backyards and garages as somebody may het hurt and bad form and tech’s will be come habbits and habbits become actions and these actions reflect on both us and Inoshita sensei .
Now on a lighter note but just as important Kato sensei our senior kendoka in our federation and His faled his 8th dan test just by a hair hopfully in fall he will pass and we will have only second 8th dan in our federations .
I look forward to see you all this summer and please take note of some of the things posted here as these are important things if you need anything feel free to call any of us with your questions.
